Nash Mill Vineyard

First planted in 2003, Nash Mill Vineyard is a small vineyard situated above Mill Creek amongst coniferous forest in one of the coolest sections of the Anderson Valley. The location is about 8.5 miles East of Wentworth Vineyard -and approximately twelve miles from the Pacific Ocean in the hills Northwest of Philo.

Nash Mill Vineyard is a dependably excellent site for Pinot Noir with several single vineyard wines from the site receiving rave reviews and earning 90+ scores. 

Since we bought the vineyard, it has been farmed utilizing organic methods exclusively, yields have been reduced, and we have grafted an acre of Chardonnay to compliment the stellar Pinot. In 2022, we added an experimental block of Blaufränkisch -the first planting of the varietal in the Anderson Valley.

In keeping with our broader environmental commitment, we are proud to partner with the Nature Conservancy and Trout Unlimited on restoration efforts for Mill Creek- an important spawning run for Coho and Steelhead which is partly on the property.

We are focused on attentive, uncompromising farming and proudly utilize organic practices in our vineyards.

The current vintage of Wentworth Nash Mill Vineyard Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay as well as our Anderson Valley Pinot Noir and Wentworth Vineyard Pinot Noir (Mendocino Ridge) bottlings are available through our store.

The wines we have produced from this site are each unique expressions of the vintage, fermented with native yeast in open top vessels, consistently with a percentage of whole clusters and aged in a mix of new and neutral French oak. Our wines are bottled unfined and unfiltered and each displays distinctive character- although all are balanced, elegant, and terroir-driven.made from 100% Estate Grown grapes.

Nash Mill has joined Wentworth as our second Monopole vineyard site. Previously we sold a portion of our NMV grapes to a select group of excellent small Pinot Noir producers.
